This session at the Microbial Stress conference is organized by WG4 of the COST action and will start with an invited lecture given by Prof. Paola Branduardi followed by six selected short talks given by partners from academia and companies. The session is concluded by a general discussion of WG 4 and all delegates are invited to participate.

With the aim of improving scientific cooperation between academia and industry, we ask all company partners to take part in a short survey. If you work in academia, please feel free to send out this survey to your industrial cooperation partners. The answers collected by Wednesday morning will feed a discussion on Wednesday afternoon during the COST workshop on industrial applications, which, as you know, is a part of the Microbial Stress conference.
