European Researchers’ Night and EuroMicropH

Dear Members of the COST Action EuromicropH,

The European Researchers’ Night will take place on the 24th September. This is a yearly event that this year in Portugal is dedicated to “Science for Climate”.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote also our COST Action EuroMicropH.
In Portugal there will be online and on-site activities. And I will have a On-site activity with the title:
“Meet the enzyme that can help in the preservation of the ozone layer”
Acidification of the oceans has led to the release of increasing concentrations of nitrous oxide (greenhouse gas 300x more potent than CO2). We will discuss the role of nitrous oxide reductase, an enzyme containing copper centers,in the decrease in the ozone layer destruction.
Maybe you are already planning to participate, and if so please send us the  details of your activity until Friday next week (10th September). Then we can advertise all the activities on our website.
Please follow this link to provide us this information.

Please remember to  mention the COST Action and add its LOGO. Take photos  during the event that can then be used in our social media.
Please check the website to know who in your country is organizing and whether you can participate.

COST

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding agency for research and innovation networks. Our Actions help connect research initiatives across Europe and enable scientists to grow their ideas by sharing them with their peers. This boosts their research, career and innovation.

COST Action CA18113

The COST Action CA18113 (EuroMicropH) is broad in its technical and scientific scope, as its central aim is to bring together people working in quite diverse fields but with a common scientific interest: namely, the understanding and exploitation of the responses of micro-organisms to low pH.
