We’re looking for someone to help us with a small project in our COST Action, for which we can apply for a virtual mobility grant (maximum of €1500). This may be of interest to you or people that you work with, so please circulate this information to people you think may be interested.
As you know, our COST Action “Understanding and exploiting the impacts of low pH on micro-organisms” aims to bring together people working in diverse fields, but with a common scientific interest: namely, the understanding and exploitation of the responses of micro-organisms to low pH.
To achieve this aim, the goal of Working Group 2 is to gather comprehensive information on members’ expertise, methods not covered by the network, methods which are needed but not yet developed, and methods needed in industrial sectors. In order to do this we have performed a survey among the COST action members to map areas of research expertise and excellence in the field.
We are now working on ways to summarize the results and present selected information in an interactive manner using the Tableau online tool . Examples of the kind of output we need to produce can be found here: EuropH_WG2_BioObject The results would be presented on our web site and in other fora where we need to share information about the Action.
We estimate the necessary work would take about one working week of effort (45 hours), including the required self-training time, for a well-motivated individual, with previous experience of working with Excel, and other data visualisation tools including Tableau.
